Parent Club

Workshops are provided at no cost.

You can view all upcoming workshops and register by clicking HERE. You will need to create an account prior to registration.

Our topics focus on universal parenting themes, including improving communication with your children, managing disruptive behavior, and understanding typical child development. We also offer workshops about more specified areas, including Understanding ADHD, Bullying/Cyberbullying, and helping and supporting your children in managing testing anxiety and stress. We also listen to comments made by our participants about other topics they would like to learn about and develop workshops to cover those themes.

Workshops are intended for parents and caregivers of children birth through adulthood, but all are welcome to attend our workshops.

Workshops are offered both in-person and online across Miami-Dade County in convenient locations, such as schools, libraries, and places of worship.

Anyone who has children in their lives is invited to our workshops! Free child care is available based on pre-registration and site availability so you can focus on the workshops while your children are having fun.

We offer our workshops in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.

Our workshops cover general topics, however, if you feel you need additional support, our facilitators are happy to speak with you further to help connect you with local resources.

Thank you for thinking of us! We try to honor tabling requests for our community partners but may not always be able to accommodate every request. It is best that you contact us at least 2 weeks in advance. Please send us an email at Leilah@thechildrenstrust.org with the date, time, location, number of expected participants, type of event, and materials needed.

The Parent Club Incentive is an exciting incentive program we offer to our participants who attend multiple workshops. You can earn tickets/experiences to local activities, such as the Zoo Miami, movies, fairs, etc.

Registered participants who reside in Miami-Dade County, are eligible to receive the incentive after they have attended three or more workshops and completed the end of workshop survey. Eligible winners will be picked at random.

Yes, the workshops are designed to be a valuable resource for parents and caregivers, regardless of family dynamics.

Workshops are primarily intended for Miami-Dade County residents, but those outside will not be turned away. Participants will indicate their county of residence during registration. Only those within Miami-Dade County are eligible to receive incentives associated with Parent Club.

Our workshops are live, whether in-person or online, and are interactive. Our facilitators come from a diverse background of culture and experience, and are trained in workshop delivery. They typically run 60-90 minutes and can offer opportunities for learning and discussion. There is no minimum or maximum number of workshops you can attend.
